One Voice Communications’ Voice Tunes software was one of the first “Voice Activated” add-on components to iTunes in the Pre-Siri era. The client had a vision for the design of the packaging and Stand Alone Design had the solution. Once we completed the market research and messaging, we went to town on the design. Seeing that this was an apple product, it was important to incorporate the Apple aesthetic into the packaging. At the time, the public was not accustomed to voice activation so the messaging and the design had to be clear and concise. The package clearly conveyed that the product would provide voice activation to your iTunes music library with a single glance of the product packaging. This is key when the product is on the shelf at a retail store. If the customer doesn’t know what the product does within 3 seconds the product won’t sell!
